We boarded the rib [rapidly inflatable boat. One of only nine made and it was a Marine Corps special forces boat.] for our whale watching tour. We saw three mom and baby seal families in the harbor. Out on the ocean we saw stellar sea lions and numerous seabirds but unfortunately no whales. We did learn that the gray whale we saw the other day was feeding. The fin which looked like a shark in the water was actually its tail fin.  It eats turned to one side.  The ocean was quite choppy with swells between seven and 10 feet but the boat handled them very well.

We packed up and headed up to Washington.  We checked in to RV camping by the bridge. The bridge over the Columbia River is 5 miles long. Great view of the Columbia river if you can get past the cars going by all day.
