We packed up this morning and left Harris Bay Beach for Coos Bay. Along the way we had many beautiful views of the ocean. Oregon does not allow development on the ocean so there are lots of opportunities to stop at particularly beautiful spots.

Port Orford offered the Crazy Norwegian. Renowned for their fish and chips, which did not disappoint. Add to that some Marionberry and coconut cream pie and we were well overfed.

We also stopped at the Port Orford lighthouse. We were told that a stop there would allow us to claim that we had gone to the furthest western most point in the continental US. Unfortunately we discussed this claim with some of the volunteers at the lighthouse who advised us that we could only claim we were at the western most point in Oregon.

We checked out a few different campgrounds and decided to stay at Oceanview. Right on the ocean.

We needed to walk through the sand dunes to get to the ocean.
