A sunny day is promised so we jump at the opportunity to kayak at Lake Crescent.   We unloaded our kayaks and prepared to put in at the very Windy south part of the lake. We saw a Ranger and asked him where the devils punchbowl was and he very politely told us that it might make more sense for us to put in at the other side of the lake because it was closer and probably less windy. Well he was somewhat right because it was quite windy on our drift to the devils punchbowl but it was at our back and we really enjoyed the floating experience but it was a hard paddle back.  The colour of the water was a spectacular blue, more noticeable in the devils punchbowl and in shallow water.

We were advised that tongue point at Crescent Beach had some amazing tide pools. It was close to low tide and there were tons of tide pools but alas no starfish. We saw many anemone , clams, mussels and hermit crabs.
